, also called “The End of the World Radio”, is a media broadcast live on Facebook twice a week, managed by a team of Algerian columnists spread over three continents.
Contacted by the Algiers Herald, presenter Abdallah Benadouda, the man behind Radio Corona Internationale (RCI), said that “the idea came obviously during the coronavirus crisis. I think it was born out of a need, first mine, the need to talk. I love it! I also felt the need in my Facebook friends to get together, even if we were far from each other, to chat, laugh, listen to music. In fact, RCI is like a virtual living room, where you can laugh, think, touch without really being able to do it. ”

Regarding the objectives of this one-of-a-kind radio station, Abdallah adds: “At the beginning, it was music and a little bit of discussion, but afterward, I thought it was necessary to structure the content, and above all give a voice to other interesting people. And that’s how the RCI team was formed. Today, there are more and more of us and this is something magnificent. This pandemic which was separating us, isolating us, managed to bring us together and even allowed us to create a radio. “

With a touch of Algerian humor, this radio touches on various subjects: politics, music, society as well as the Covid-19, of course! The team is currently preparing the 10th edition and is trying to involve the greatest number of Algerian speakers from around the world.
